Louis Armstrong
Louis Armstrong’s trumpet influenced every jazz musician who appeared after him. He was an American trumpeter, composer, vocalist, and actor who was among the most influential figures in jazz.
Louis Armstrong was at a concert and he got kicked off of the stage for being black. So he played on the street and someone found him. They thought that he was a good trumpet player, and that person took Louis Armstrong. Louis Armstrong was in that person's band and then Louis Armstrong got famous for being a black trumpet player. Louis Armstrong wanted to play music and play it for people. but he was black and people did not give black people a chance. So he played his trumpet on the street to earn spare change. Louis Armstrong’s dad left his family when he was little, so he lived with his grandma.
Louis Armstrong wanted to play music for other people. playing music for people even though he was black. Louis Armstrong also gave some other black people a chance to stand up for themselves. He is considered the lead trumpet player and one of the most influential artists in jazz history. Louis Armstrong kept playing his trumpet in public even though he got kicked off of the stage for the color of his skin. Then he became one of the world's most famous trumpet players.
Louis Armstrong is an unsung hero because he was a black person that got treated badly at first. Even though people did not like that Louis Armstrong was black and played the trumpet he still did. People should read this because Louis Armstrong is an unsung hero.
Great post! I feel like the opening paragraph could be a bit longer. Otherwise, I never knew how Louis Armstrong got to be so famous!
