Kashmir Debate

 What is Kashmir and who does it belong to? Kashmir is a territory but no one knows who it belongs to. Well, today I am going to be telling you why I think that Kashmir should be its own country. It seems to me that Kashmir should be their own country.


I think that Kashmir should be its own country. to begin with, Kashmir was not given a choice to have a war over their country. Secondly, Kashmir should have a choice if they want to be their own country or not. Ninety-one percent of Kashmir’s people want to be their own country and technically they should get to. Kashmir people want to get their own country but India and Pakistan want Kashmir. Kashmir already has a name so why would they change their name to India or Pakistan if that land area already has a name? The people of Kashmir want to rule themselves and not have other people rule them. Although the people of Kashmir want to be their own country India and Pakistan want Kashmir.


In addition, If the people of Kashmir got what they wanted which is to have their own country. there would be no war and the people would be happy. India and Pakistan have been fighting over this land since 1947. It’s been 74 years since they have started the war (in 2021). Kashmir has war people all over the land. Imagine living in a country where there are soldiers telling you what to do. Although the people of Kashmir want to be their own country India and Pakistan really want Kashmir’s land. 


In conclusion, I think that Kashmir should be its own country, and India and Pakistan should stop fighting over it. The people of Kashmir want to be their own country so let them. The people of Kashmir don’t want to have war and soldiers around them so let them not have that. The people of Kashmir don't want India or Pakistan to take their land so don’t let them. Let the people speak. Free Kashmir!
