For example, dogs can help anyone, they can grab you something like a phone if you are in need. Dogs are trained to help people in different ways so if you are in danger the dog can grab the phone and call for help. Dogs can also help with reducing stress. According to the American Kennel Club Studies have shown that dogs can help with health benefits.
In addition, dogs can help you cross the street if you are blind if they are trained. The dog can be trained to help a blind person cross the street by listening for cars coming from different directions.

This has great information on dogs. You are correct, dogs can feel your emotions. According to iheartdogs, "It shouldn’t be surprising that dogs can sense what mood we’re in. Dogs will often become very stressed when we’re stressed or angry and they’ll often become clingy if we’re sad. In fact, many dog trainers have noticed the difference in results they get from their dogs depending on the mood the trainer is in at the time."
